"Cry" Video To Premiere This Week
 

A video for "Cry" will be serviced to TV stations around the world this week.
Michael Jackson does not appear in the video. It is a montage of images illustrating the theme of the song.

"Cry" will be the new single from INVINCIBLE.

It is currently planned to hit radios internationally on October 29th. A commercial release is planned for December 3rd.

This week, Sony Music is servicing TV stations around the world with 3 new versions of Michael Jackson's "You Rock My World" short-film. Each new version has been personally re-edited by Michael Jackson, including new footage, sound effects and dialogues.

American viewers have already —and only— seen the long version of the newly edited video. They will never see the original version of the short-film that has been broadcast worldwide up to now.
From now on, the 3 new versions of the video will replace the ones that have been seen internationally until today.

There are currently no plans to release “Cry” as a single internationally. The song has only been delivered to radio stations in America at Michael Jackson's request as a tribute to the victims of the recent tragedy.
Although there are currently no plans to widely release the single commercially, a special 7-inch vinyl single of “Cry” will be issued on October 2nd in the USA. This rare edition will be a double-sided pressing with the album version on both sides. It will be released to selected record stores and juke-box owners.

The short film YRMW. Quite a few articles, that came out these last days, are saying that, not only Marlon Brando and Chris Tucker but also the newly "oscarised" actor Benito Del Toro (Traffic) and the actors of the american TV series "The Sopranos" about the mafia world (HBO) will apear in the first short film of Michael. Nothing has been confirmed but in 3 weeks, we should be sure since the premiere of the short film is sheduled for the 20th september. Moreover, there will be 2 versions of the short film, a long one of 9 minutes and a short one of 5 minutes.

The first single premiered on the radio more than a week ago is a real succes around the world!!
In the US, after 5 days, You Rock My World started at the 34th place in the "Billboard Hot 100" of the most played songs in the country last week. A very good start!
In the rest of the world, the song has reached almost everywhere in the hightest places. In France, in Norway and in Danmark, You Rock My World started at the 1st place in the first week. In Asia, Australia, and latin America, all of the countries passed the new single and the response from the public was very enthusiastic!

"You Rock My World" Unauthorized Radio Debut

On Friday, August 17th, "You Rock My World" premiered on two radio stations in New York.
An unidentified source leaked the song to the radios without authorization from Sony Music or Michael Jackson.

Shortly afterwards, copies of the track have been created and circulated through the internet, ultimately reaching airplay on radio stations around the world.

Sony Music has now taken action to prevent radio stations from playing Michael Jackson's new single.
Both radio stations that originally premiered "You Rock My World" in New York have been ordered to not play the song anymore. And they have agreed to do so.

The copy of "You Rock My World" that has been played so far has not been validated by Michael Jackson. It is of poor quality and does not deliver the high standard in production that Michael Jackson has always dedicated himself to.

As a result of this unexpected development, Sony Music has decided to advance the official radio premiere of "You Rock My World." The King of Pop's new single will debut worldwide on August 29th, on Michael Jackson's birthday.

Renowned hip-hop artist Jay-Z generated the loudest cheers from the crowd during the Hot 97 Summer Jam 2001 when he presented Michael Jackson as his special guest. The show took place this Thursday at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

"I know Michael Jackson better come from behind that (snip) curtain," Jay-Z said during his performance. When Jackson did not appear, the crowd seemed to assume that Jay-Z was merely joking. "You want me to go back and get him myself?", he asked a fan, "OK, I'm 'a go get him."

A few seconds later he shocked the crowd when he appeared on the stage with Jackson. The two posed for photographs briefly. For one photograph, Jackson did a b-boy pose with his arms folded. Jackson received a standing ovation from the audience

Jackson left the stage after saying "I love you all".

Kind hearted King of Pop, Michael Jackson is to use the power of celebrity
to help in the search for missing children across the globe.
The Assoicated Press in Floria have reported that 42 year-old Megastar
will assist in the effort to find missing children by printing photographs
of several younsters on the inside sleeve of his soon to be released
album, Invincible.
Amongst the children featured will be Sabrina Aisenberg; a five-month old
toddler who was snatched from her crib, as her parents slept in their
suburban Tampa home in November 1997.
Sabrina's parents,  Steve and Marlene Aisenberg  told America station,
WTVT-TV on Wednesday that the famous father of two will include a song
about missing children on his new music release, and that a picture of
Sabrina will feature in the album's inside cover.
'It seems a plea for help from parents Steve and Marlene Aisenberg has
caught the attention of the international pop icon', reports the station.
A spokesperson for The Centre for Missing and Exploited Children said that
Jackson's lawyers were put in touch with the families of the children to
obtain permission to print the pictures.

Ever since MJ News International first revealed the title of Michael
Jackson's new album as INVINCIBLE (to be released on 24th September in
Europe and 25th September in USA), there has been a frenzy of media and
fan club interest, with exciting news and speculation.

But today, the excitement steps up a gear with the news of an interview
that Epic Records president Dave Glew has given to Fox News' Roger
Friedman for his "411" column on 15th June.

According to Friedman, Glew says that the first single from the INVINCIBLE
album will be released in mid-July. That's just ONE month away.

Of the album, Mr. Glew told Mr Friedman:

"Michael is singing better than ever. The ballads! The ballads are
beautiful, and they're all there. The dance songs are full of melodies.
We're going to get a single out by mid-July, at least 8 weeks before the
album hits stores. Michael's done his work, now we have to do ours. It's
all about how it's marketed and presented. We know we have the adult
audience, we have to work on the teen audience."

Friedman described Mr. Glew as "exuberant".

Mr. Glew added: "Of course, now Michael will work on the videos. But it's
all his stuff, and he wanted to get it right."

Tuesday June 12th, Sony Music held a special conference at the Hit Factory studio in New York City to premiere Michael Jackson's new album to Sony Music executives from around the world.
Michael Jackson greeted the exclusive crowd at the studio and then left the audience.
15 songs were premiered during that special session.
Michael being very secret about his songs prior to their release, we will not reveal the complete tracklisting details. Besides, there are still four tracks from the selection that was premiered that might be replaced. Michael is still undecided about those four songs.
The title of the new album is now decided.
Michael has chosen to give a spectacular title to his new record.
As it is Michael's wish to keep it a secret for the time being, we will only reveal that the album title is one word that begins with the letter "i".
And it is spectacular.
After the exclusive premiere of Michael Jackson's new album, the reaction of the crowd was ecstatic.
The new record was described by many as Michael's best work since "Thriller."
